Hi Patrick! My previous boat was fibreglass but I’m much happier with my plastic Valley – I’m just not so scared about banging it on rocks etc! The distributor of Valley in Australia told me that the plastic range had really surprised them with its popularity, with more and more people buying the Valley RMs. I think you and I have great boats – lets enjoy them!

Nice photo’s since 2 month i am also a proud owner of a Aquanaut like yours.Its a really nice boat before this one i had an Avocet that was a bit to small for me but for daytrips enough only on long trips i had some backproblems thats why i bought this one.I was the first in my kayakclub whit a plastic boat but more and more clubmembers bought one also.I hope you enjoy it as much i do i take it every wear..seas,rivers,big lakes etc..in Holland.

Very pretty boat, and even prettier family! But I can’t see the Plimsoll lines on the hull sides. How will the maritime safety authorities know if (and by how much) the poor craft is overloaded?

Thanks everyone. Yes, I do need lubricant to get in and out of it. It’s plastic and weighs close to 30kg I reckon, but its shape feels much faster than my Nanook. I’ve already scratched the hell out of it by driving it into the garage door today (@%$#!!). And lastly, if I bring home one more boat my wife well likely set fire to it. This one will have to last me a while I think.

Good choice ! From another happy Valley Aquanaut HV RM owner ! Lovely stable boats and they respond beautifully to edging. And you almost never need the skeg.(Just be sure to treat the plastic kindly. It’s not as scratch-resistant as plastic whitewater kayaks).

Great work mate. Very nice looking boat. I bet it moves differently to Cayenne. You’ve certainly gone through a range of boats in only a year. I’m green with envy. Is it a plastic or composite and how heavy?

Great photos of the girls – reckon you could sit one in each hatch, fore and aft, now that would look pretty cool.

I’m with Darryl – how do you get in and out (kayak shoe-horn?). Nice and snug for rolling fun!

You’ll love the plafulness of the Aquanaut, the more I paddle mine the more I like it ,
wish my family would show as much interest when ever I bring back a new kayak, all I get is “not another one”

Boat looks great. Where’s the Union Jack sticker? I haven’t been able to find the dragon yet, but I’ll keep looking.
