I completely understand, Alaska is a truly magical part of the world. That being said though, I feel the same way about Sydney. Completely different climate of course, but its beautiful meandering Harbour, giant ocean-facing cliffs and abundance of places to explore make it magical, and whenever I go away I can't wait to return to her. Without a doubt my favorite paddling destination. A friend of mine always asks 'don't you want to go someplace new?' to which I reply, you just don't get it.
