		<description>Gday Brett. I completely understand, Alaska is a truly magical part of the world. That being said though, I feel the same way about Sydney. Completely different climate of course, but its beautiful meandering Harbour, giant ocean-facing cliffs and abundance of places to explore make it magical, and whenever I go away I can&#039;t wait to return to her. I guess this is the beauty of paddling, we can enjoy it where-ever we go, but if we only stay at home we&#039;re happy doing that too!

		<description>I teach for NOLS in Alaska, so I am fortunate enough to get there most summers. Without a doubt my favorite paddling destination. A friend of mine always asks &#039;don&#039;t you want to go someplace new?&#039; to which I reply, you just don&#039;t get it. If you haven&#039;t been there, you have no frame of reference. Paddling Alaska is my drug of choice.
