With ten paddlers, nine boats, and twenty landcrew, Team Fat Paddler certainly made their presence felt at this years Hawkesbury Canoe Classic. The fun of a bigger group and the incredible team spirit became immediately apparent as the large crew pushed their paddlers down the river. It was clearly the best Classic I’ve ever experienced, but I’ll let the video tell the story – cheers, FP
Video Hint: for those with mega-bandwidth, “full screen” the video for full HD glory!
The video tells a great story.Well done to all the FP team.
Great compilation FP. Honoured to be a part of it. Bring on next year!
Well done guys. The video (watched in all it’s glory of full screen HD) was awesome, just like your day!
great work guys! nice vid too, thanks
An amazing experience for a couple of oldies. Enjoyed the days at the Hawksbury and also the great video compilation. Well done to Team fat Paddler.
Congrats to TeamFP, well done and looks like you had a blast. Cheers Greg
Awesome video. Congrats to all of team fat Paddler, this year was a tough one. Solo paddler feeling a little envious – the comeraderie displayed in your team is great to see, and you guys always bring an element of fun into what is a very tough challenge. Can’t believe we have to wait a whole year to do it all again 🙂
Some memories of that event will be with me for a very long time: the heat and the speed of the tide at Cattai, thinking I’d never catch you buggers; catching you buggers; the starlit night sky with kayaks lit only by cyalumes in the distance; laughing and joking at 2am with a dragon boat full of 50+ ladies gossiping away with no directional consistency whatsoever; the mist on the river at sunrise; the SWAT team catching up with us buggers; and nearly all of us finishing together.
It was awesome. Sign me up for next year, mate!
Well done to all in Team FP ! You know I’ve been a paddler on and off since about 1972 and never ever seriously considered doing the Hawkesbury 111km marathon. Team FP rocks !
Well done FP on a great capture of the event. A double thank you for NOT getting a picuture of my pain at the finish line. We can all be proud of raising such good funds for a great cause and completing a seriously big event. What next I wonder… 🙂
Hey Grumm – I’m sitting on the pictures and a video finish of that “pain on your face”…..waiting for the right time *grin*…..
*evil laugh*
Mike.
Bravo FP! Â Good mates, good times, a successful finish, and fifteen grand raised for a noble cause. Â Hard to beat that kind of outing! Â My dream is to do it with you some day. Â In the meantime, I’ll be cheering you from shore; perhaps besotted by grog & sausages, perhaps not.
Moulton
Great video. Makes me want to do it all over again !!
