The Lifestart Kayak for Kids 2014 – A Great Paddle on a Great Harbour for a Great Cause

Sydney Harbour will be the backdrop for Lifestart’s Kayak for Kids, an annual fundraising event to be held on Sunday, 30 March 2014. Lifestart is inviting people of all ages and paddling experience to participate in the challenge which offers an amazing opportunity to kayak on Sydney Harbour under maritime safety surrounded by fellow paddlers. The 17.5 km kayak challenge starts at Blues Point Reserve at Lavender Bay and finishes at Clontarf Beach for a family & friends picnic.

Registration begins at 6.30 am and last year attracted over 1000 paddlers including corporate teams, competing for the Corporate Challenge Cup.

Lifestart, a not for profit organisation and registered charity, provides early childhood intervention and school age services to children living with disability or developmental delay. Lifestart provides a family centred approach to meeting the needs of children and their families.  It is based on the concept of partnership with children, families and carers to assist and empower them to participate meaningfully and inclusively in our community.
