Fat Paddler Best of 2013 – a montage of paddling goodness!

It’s hard to believe that another year has gone by, and with the dawn of a new year we get the chance to look back and reflect. For me personally the year heralded serious personal changes including a major change of job which meant that paddling took more of a backwards step than I would have liked. That said, the year held many adventures for Team Fat Paddler including plenty of dynamic fun in kayaks, canoes, and of course surfskis.

It’s hard to capture a year in a few minutes but the below video is a little taste of what we got up to in a range of different boats. Largely it involves surfing, wiping out and enjoying time in the froth with friends – the legacy of a visit by Tsunami Ranger founder Capt Jim Kakuk a few years back and the which opened up our minds to the fun of more dynamic paddling.

What’s coming for 2014?

The end of the year means it’s time to set new goals and seek new challenges. This year FatPaddler.com will be expanding it’s team, launching some exciting projects with FatPaddler.TV, taking on new events and undoubtedly paddling some new boats. For me personally though, 2014 will be all about health, fitness, and mastering my new Hayden surfski on the ocean and on surf.
