Cayenne - cleaned & loaded for final delivery. Bye old girl!

When I decided to sell Cayenne, my Boréal Design Nanook, I thought it would take a while.  After all, she’s a high class girl and doesn’t come cheap. But in fact she sold within 7 days of listing, so I didn’t even get the time for a final paddle before it was time to give her a final clean and deliver her to her new owner. It was all over so quickly I barely had time to reflect on our time together.

So to send her off I’ve waded through a few thousand photos and selected a couple to show the journey we’ve taken together, culminating in the 111km Hawkesbury Canoe Classic. Thanks for the memories old girl, and I hope you have many more happy paddling adventures with your new owner Martin. – FP

    I can’t imagine selling mine. I doubt I ever will. We’ve b een through a lot together.

Love the picture with the pink boat. You really did sell that boat quickly. I’ve sat on kayaks for a full year before they sold.

Bethany, I’ve ordered a Valley Aquanaut HV RM, a boat I believe you know quite well! :)

FP: Very nice eulogy to your dear departed! Accompanied by some very classy photos (especially the ones with the Greenland paddle. I wonder if Cayenne was surprised when you introduced her to that wooden blade.

  8. Randolph says:

I hope you sold it with the distinctive FP decal attached. She was/is a fine boat. What color is the new Valley Aquanaut HV RM?
    Sincerely,
    Randolph

I had removed most of the FP stickers, except for the reflective logos on the bow hull. I did however give the new owner a couple of FP stickers in case he wanted to put them back on! Oh, and the new kayak shall be red, because red ones are faster.
