Video Post: More South Sydney Surf Ski Surfing

More excitement on the surf ski, with extra added wind and lumps!

More excitement on the surf ski, with extra added wind and lumps!

After our sensational surfing morning last week in glassy conditions, I returned to the same spot with my best mate Nat from SydneySurfski.com to show him what I’d been going on about.  Of course, gone were the glassy conditions with a nice easterly wind ripping through the bay chopping up the waves and the general surf zone. However, despite falling out here and there we all got a good surf in and one hell of a workout, doing 20 odd kms of sprint work catching runs. And then of course there was that moment were Nat came off right in the break zone, got smashed by a nice big bommy and needed a few of us nearby paddlers to run around rescuing him and his gear which had all been separated in the chaos!

We also made some new friends on the water, meeting local Stellar surfski paddler Sean at the crack of dawn, which made the shared experience of surfing even more fun. What can I say – a beautiful morning, good friends, and surfing fun – what more could you want in a paddle? Cheers, FP
