Early morning surf at the Bower point break, Manly Beach
With Team Fat Paddler, whilst it looks mostly about fun, it’s also about team work. In our latest outing we not only got to experience some fun waves and a pounding in the surf, we also got to help one of our fellow team mates Meg when she found her uncontrollable ski had lost its rudder sometime during her earlier surf launch!
The “Double Surfski Leg-Cross Canoe-Style Rescue”….
Of course, there were still plenty of waves to be had, plenty of major dumpings, and as usual, a fair bit of swimming after surfskis after being wrenched from them by fast-moving foam piles! Still, if we didn’t like the water we’d be playing a nice safe land-locked game of lawn-bowls instead! Cheers, FP
